On a recent weekend, Parent Advancement Council (PAC) volunteers generously donated their time tending to Pu’u o Mānoa, also known as Rocky Hill. While there, they met with Outdoor Education faculty Shelby Ho ’01 and Andy Nelson, who gave a brief overview and history of the area.
Parents and their families helped with weeding, moving wood, organizing tools in the shed, fixing the wooden fence, and decorating the area with air plants. Each person chose their favorite activity and some tried several.
The day ended with lunch at the Alumni House. “Everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was a perfect opportunity for us to spend time with each other in a causal and fun atmosphere,” said Jill Higashi, director of annual giving.
